I’ve been in the field of optometry for over 20 years, and right here in Fair Lawn, New Jersey for the past 4. My journey started as a vision therapist which paved the way to becoming an optometrist, where I’ve dedicated myself to specializing in developmental and neuro-rehabilitation.
My passion is providing the highest pediatric and adult optometric care. Here at PressVision, we make extensive use of Vision Therapy to help our patients with eye coordination difficulties.
With the proven techniques used in our office, we’re able to improve reading comprehension and learning capabilities of our younger patients, as well as help our older patients recover from accidents or disease. You can learn more about my background here.

I brought my son here for learning difficulties. The staff was Amazing+++! I can't say enough about how comforting they were to my son who was upset. The testing was amazing and they took their time and looked at all aspects.
One of the best Eyecare I visited in tristate. It's 40min drive for me but it's totally worth it. Very clean and spacious office. we were on time for our appointment and I did not have to wait to see the doctor or start the procedure once we reach. My son was non verbal but the assistant Dr handled everything so smooth and patiently and finished my son eye test it was really unbelievable and Dr Laura she is incredible she so polite and very easy to talk to explained everything so clearly and she suggested me what is best for my son rather than just prescribing him the glass so early age. Dr Knapp and her staff are lovely! They made my 7 year old son so comfortable. The care was superior. If you are looking for a Developmental Optometrist for your child I highly recommend Dr Knapp!
Vision therapy here made substantial improvements in my son's reading. Also we had our 6 month post therapy follow up when the office reopened after quarantine 2020 and I felt very safe with the precautions taken.
I went in to get my eyes checked out by Dr. Laura J. Knapp. There was barely any wait until I was seen. She's very nice, thorough and professional. I will definitely go back again, highly recommended.
I highly recommend their service when introducing glasses to a young child. They take their time to evaluate and are great with small children. They are patient and kind. The doctors are thorough and the staff is very professional. Ive witnessed toddlers acting out when being on a full prescription or when forced to wear glasses. Their approach is the best way. They are also one of the few practices that specialize in vision therapy. My sister in the 80s practiced vision therapy and help with her lazy eye and it worked. Again, family eye care is one of the best

At PressVision, we know how confusing insurance can be for our patients. Our patients appreciate that we go the extra mile when it comes to helping our patients and their families deal with their insurance provider.
We will explain how your deductible works. We'll also explain what services are fully or partially covered. We'll also tell you what services are unlikely to be covered. Based on our experience, we'll even give you our estimate of what you can expect back from your insurance company.
We also take care of submitting all required paperwork to your insurance company. We do this every day, and we know the ins and outs of getting insurance claims submitted properly to your insurer.
Insurance providers are always changing coverages for services. While we can't guarantee that your insurance company will approve or cover all provided services, you can be sure that we will fully explain everything to you and properly submit all required paperwork to your insurer.
